SYNOPSIS:
Charles Andrew Johnson, a.k.a. Chuck-Brandi’s no-good boyfriend-is at home in Northvale, New Jersey trying to reach Brandi, who hasn’t shown up with the suitcase full of meth, when two FBI agents storm in to bust him for inter-state drug-trafficking. Chuck cops a plea, offering to share any and all information he has. Just as the agents are about to give him a deal, two masked men come in, killing the two FBI agents and knocking Chuck unconscious.

Meanwhile back in Albuquerque, after Mary trails Jinx into the Warehouse Theater where she’s auditioning for “Sweet Charity,” she is drugged and abducted by two masked men and thrown into the trunk of their car. The only witness is a homeless guy whose testimony Detective Dershowitz, a.k.a. Bobby D., doesn’t believe at first, until he finds Mary’s ringing phone that was knocked out of her hand during the scuffle under a nearby dumpster.

After Brandi, who has sought temporary refuge at Raphael’s house, tries reaching Chuck and an FBI Agent breaks into the call and asks for her location-Brandi panics. She tries to call Mary but Bobby D. answers her cell phone. She has really screwed up this time and Jinx, whom Brandi has called to come get her, couldn’t agree more.

Back at the WITSEC office, Marshall and Stan learn of the two incidents and are horrified as they begin linking the two together. They swing into action to do whatever’s necessary to find their missing colleague and friend and protect Mary’s family since she’s clearly not able to do so herself.

LOGLINE:
Mary continues to help her witness, Natasha, the mild-mannered accountant from the pilot, adjust to her new life, which becomes more complicated when she discovers her boyfriend is also in WITSEC.

SYNOPSIS:
Tasha, Mary’s witness from the first episode, has invited Mary and Marshall to her apartment to meet her new boyfriend who she met through a dating service. Mary’s pleased that her sad young innocent victim of a witness has finally found the happiness she deserves. The problem is that the marshals realize that not only do they already know the young Ukrainian’s beau, but also only two months ago they processed his WITSEC paperwork and now he’s Marshall’s witness. Neither of the lovebirds knows the other one’s status…that is until Tasha runs into Mary and Marshall at Serge’s house and the couple puts two and two together. Naturally, they’re even more elated that they have another fundamental thing in common. Mary and Marshall, however, now have a problem on their hands.

What Tasha doesn’t know is that the new love of her life, Sergei “Serge” Mijnic, is a Russian con man, but Mary is not at liberty to tell her that, despite the fact that Serge has convinced Tasha to quit her bookkeeping job to work at a trashy sports bar wearing a skimpy outfit. Not only is it against WITSEC rules to allow two witnesses to date, but on top of that, Mary is convinced that Serge is conning Tasha and she will stop at nothing to prove it-including scanning a copy of Serge’s computer’s hard drive or posing as an eligible bachelorette who’s really into Eastern European guys for the dating service.

Meanwhile, Brandi, who has let Mary buy her a plane ticket back to New Jersey, sneaks out of the airport after her older sister drops her off to hole herself up in a dumpy motel to await instructions for unloading her suitcase of meth from her louse of a boyfriend, Chuck. But, as usual, Brandi has a hard time following directions and instead decides to take matters into her own hands in order to protect an innocent life. What she doesn’t realize is that she may have just made the situation much worse for herself.

SYNOPSIS:
Internal Affairs knows Robert Patrone is one of the dirty cops on the Chicago force who isnt above planting evidence to make a case. But instead of taking him down, the FBI offers him a deal in exchange for ratting out his fellow cops on the down-low. Patrone takes the dealsf he didnt somebody else would. Besides, he doesnt want to go to jail. When his partner Garrity finds out, he comes after Patrone but in the confrontation, it Garrity who ends up going down.

After testifying, the grand jury hands down nineteen indictments in the case, which makes him a local hero with the citizens but an enemy of the force. Staying on the police force obviously isn’t an option so Patrone has no choice but to go into Witness Protection.

When Mary and Patrone, now known as Eps, meet there are immediate sparks. Even though she knows it against the rules and an all-around terrible idea, she gives into temptation and sleeps with him ust once. Afterwards, they part ways and have minimal contact over the next year. Things might have continued like that, but when an Albuquerque cop with ties to the force in Chicago is murdered, Eps becomes the prime suspect. Mary has to both prove his innocence and keep their past from damaging her career as she goes head-to-head with Bobby D. and the slain cop enraged partner, Roxanne, who is one tough cookie herself.

Mary tells Brandi that she doesn’t want her and Raphael to stop being friends. But when Brandi goes over to his house make nice and Raphael admits to having had a brief dalliance with his physical therapist when he and Mary were semi-broken up, Brandi slaps Raphael and storms out. Brandi doesn’t know what makes her angrier: the fact that Raphael kind of cheated on Mary or that he cheated on Mary with someone else other than her.

SYNOPSIS:
Even Mary would admit that Don and Ruth Ferguson are two of the nicest, most selfless, giving people on the planet. They’re devoted to the Catholic Church, spend all of their time working at a homeless shelter (which they also did in Boston even before they were in WITSEC) and they’ve achieved something that is sadly rare for witnesses: they were able to recreate their former lives almost to a T.

Unfortunately, what has also remained the same is that they can’t stand each other. But despite their mutual ongoing misery, divorce isn’t an option for this devout couple who have tried everything under the sun to rekindle the flame, from counseling to romantic getaways to prayer.

When word comes that Don’s charred car has been found in a ravine with him inside, Ruth is devastated nonetheless. As Mary sniffs around the edges of Officer Bobby D.’s arson and homicide investigation looking for clues, she learns that the case is more complicated than it seems at first glance. For starters, the body in Don’s car isn’t Don, which begs the question: Could Don still be alive? If so, where is he?

Even though Jinx is now gainfully employed as a hostess at Prima Luna, she still has stars in her eyes, especially when she finds out that the Duke City Players are holding an open call for Sweet Charity. Maybe, just maybe, she could dust off her dancing shoes and give it a shot. And with Mary suddenly on the case of the missing Don, she naturally doesn’t have as much time as she promised Raphael she would and has to cut short what was supposed to be a romantic dinner at Prima Luna. But since Brandi has nothing but time, once again she steps in to help by driving Raph home from the restaurant. Only this time the line that hasn’t yet been crossed just might be.

SYNOPSIS:
Iris McBride, 17, and her boyfriend Lawrence Parker, are walking down a block in an East L.A. neighborhood minding their own business when a car pulls up alongside them and the Hispanic teens inside begin harassing them. The young couple tries to ignore their taunting, but when the guy in the car pulls out a Mac-10 and starts spraying bullets everywhere, Lawrence springs into action and jumps in front of Iris, taking several bullets for her. It’s bad enough for Iris that her boyfriend has just been shot almost to death, but the fact that the shooters were members of one of the most dangerous gangs in the country makes matters much worse-not only for Iris but also for her entire family.

Five hours later, Mary and Marshall have arrived in Los Angeles to transport the McBride family to Albuquerque, who haven’t yet been told that they’ll have about ten minutes to gather up their belongings and leave their lives behind-immediately. Her father, Warren McBride, a successful doctor, is livid when he learns that just because his daughter disobeyed him and went to the wrong part of town, he has to give up his successful medical practice that he worked so hard and long to build. Mary assures them that things will get better, but that’s hard for them to believe when they’ll have to move to Albuquerque to live on a government stipend in “Casa WITSEC” until their finances can be sorted out and the only job that the haughty Doctor McBride can get is at a free clinic-and that’s only possible because Marshall pulled a few strings.

Mary certainly knows what to do to keep Iris safe when she has to return to Los Angeles to ID the suspect, but what Mary’s not so confident about is how she’s going to keep the now “Morris” from falling apart, or worse, getting themselves killed.

Meanwhile-back in her own hot mess of a personal life-Mary’s trying to get back into some kind of rhythm with Raphael, which isn’t easy when your younger (and sluttier-dressing) sister is trying to move in on your territory. And especially when said younger sister catches another woman answering her own boyfriend Chuck’s phone…

LOGLINE:
Mary learns that her witness, a NCAA basketball star, has a gambling problem.

SYNOPSIS:
Brothers Scott and Chris Worley have been Mary’s witnesses for five years and hold a soft spot in her heart: they were her very first witnesses. They came into the program alone ten years ago when Scott was twenty and Chris was only ten after witnessing the murder of a local loan shark by a bigger local gangster who had decided that he wanted to own Chris and his budding talents on the basketball court. Since the boys’ parents died, Scott had been looking after Chris for most of his life-a responsibility that didn’t change when they entered the program and one that he takes very seriously to this day.

Now it looks like all Scott’s hard work is paying off. Not only is Chris the star of his college basketball team, the Tigers, for Division 2 Los Lunas College, but also Division 1 scouts are showing a lot of interest. After Scott invites Mary and Marshall to attend a game to see Chris’s talent in action, Mary becomes suspicious that Chris has a gambling problem. It was no big deal that he asked to borrow $3,000 from her for a new computer and school books, which Mary is not allowed to do according to Program rules, but when she finds out that he had already gotten three grand from Scott, she realizes that Chris was trying to con her.

Technically, Mary shouldn’t be getting involved in their personal affairs at this point, but this particular issue touches on an old personal wound for Mary, since her father, who has been missing for twenty-five years, was a gambling addict. Is it a coincidence that Jinx just received a letter from the FBI stating that unless otherwise contested, they are going to petition the court to declare her father legally deceased-or synchronicity?

LOGLINE:
Mary works to solve the mystery of who tried to kill her witness, an art dealer. To complicate matters, both his mistress and his wife are in the program and key suspects.

SYNOPSIS:
The Feds make a lot of promises in exchange for testimony, not all of them moral, and it’s the Marshals who are stuck with the consequences. This is possibly Mary’s least favorite part of the job. She’s got enough problems with the witnesses who deserve her protection.

When New York City art dealer Jay Arnstein goes into the Witness Protection Program, he asks that his wife, Marci, be moved with him. Typically, this wouldn’t be an unusual request but in this case, it was Marci who ratted out Jay to the FBI for his illegal art dealings. But Marci is looking as entering WITSEC as a chance to start over-an optimistic attitude if there ever was one. But what has really stuck in Mary’s craw is that Jay made a separate deal with the Department of Justice to bring along his mistress, Kay, for the ride. On top of that, the rules of the Program force Mary to keep this detail from Marci, a very sweet woman of whom she has grown quite fond (a rare yet occasional occurrence).

Things might have gone on like that forever-until Kay shows up at Jay’s new gallery opening, sending Marci into a bit of a tailspin, since she was under the impression that she and Jay had rekindled their romance making their marriage better than ever. This would’ve been a mess for Jay to deal with-his idea for which is to break up with Kay and have Mary ship her off to another location-but when he is shot later that night, it becomes Mary’s responsibility to clean up.

Mary’s also got a bit of a complicated situation on the home front herself: Raphael has torn his ACL and is not only back home from Florida, but on Mary’s couch recuperating until the swelling goes down and he can be more mobile. But instead of Mary becoming Raph’s nursemaid, it’s Brandi who takes on the Florence Nightingale role-though it’s unclear who is more surprised by that particular development.

SYNOPSIS: Horst Vanderhoff is an agent-but far from a wheeling-and-dealing Hollywood type. He’s the go-between for a highly sought after hit woman known only as Lola negotiating her contracts, collecting her fees, managing communications between her and her customers, etc. While trying to get her next job lined up, Horst is grabbed by the Feds. Naturally, he uses his negotiating skills (the only ones he seems to have) to broker himself a deal: he’ll give up Lola’s identity in exchange for a chance at joining the Witness Protection Program. When Mary and Marshall show up at Perryville Prison to pick him up, they find a sarcastic, opinionated complainer who manages to insult them within the first five seconds. No gratitude here. To make matters worse, he has every chronic malady and allergy known to man, including Diabetes. Great: so now Mary’s a doctor on top of being a chauffer for this colossal pain in the butt. Mary isn’t in the greatest mood to begin with since she discovered a letter offering Marshall at job at Pinkerton Security. She didn’t even know he was looking for a new post. When was he going to tell her? After he stopped showing up for work? When she broaches the topic, he has the nerve to act like the injured party in all of this. She may have read his personal mail but he went behind her back to interview for another job without mentioning it to her. In her humble opinion, she’s got the bigger beef. This four-hour ride across the desert is sure going to be fun: Mary and Marshall in a fight and the most annoying man on the planet in their car heckling them. But when two killers ambush them, disable their car and wound Marshall, Mary suddenly has bigger fish to fry as she must single-handedly keep all of them safe from the ruthless Lola.

Marshall Mary Shannon, marriage isn’t something she’s interested in, due to the confidential and dangerous nature of her job. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for her latest assignment: Treena Morris (Missi Pyle), a flashy serial bigamist who entered WITSEC after stealing millions in diamonds from her former husband and is now planning a huge wedding to another rich guy. After last week’s promising episode that revealed Mary’s compassionate side, this week’s show took some big steps backward with a predictable storyline, little character development and elements of action and comedy that just fell flat….
